Audition won't launch in Windows 8.1...

Greetings...

My Audition CS6 won't launch on either my Dell XPS with windows 8.1 or my ASUS laptop with windows 8.1.  I've seen a number of posts regarding this, and have tried installing the patch and disabling the Adobe Graphics Manager.  I have two questions...

 

1. Solution1 did not work.  In trying Solution 2, it says to Delete all files in the 5.0 folder.  Does this mean delete ONLY files, or delete all files AND folders?

2.  I actually tried both and copied the Debug Database.txt file into the 5.0 folder and relaunched Audition.  Still didn't work.  Are there any other solutions?

 

Please help!

I think I found the questions with CC 2015 mac.It must be English version can Normal work.Somebody tell me,install wrong fonts can do the Audition Error,so when I install the English version,Audition CC 2015 has been working normal.

 

But..... in Simple Chinese Version,in our Country ,most people have the same problem like me.we don't install the third-party Fonts. maybe named "Microsoft YaHei"and some System Fonts make Audition working wrong.

 

and if fonts to mach,Audition CC 2015 also have error.

 

What should I do? Please.....(I'm try,but English is....like↑) please translate ...thanks ⬇️

Audition CC 2015 Mac version I think I found the problem. CC 2015 must be in the English language pack to work properly. A technician told me before, wrong font packages are installed, errors will cause Audition runs. I think it is right that, when I installed the English version of Audition, and run a slower before the problem no longer exists.

 

But ... ... In the Chinese Simplified version of the CC to 2015, the many people of our country have experienced slow issues. But we do not have to install a third-party font files using the OSX system comes with set of system fonts. I think it's "Microsoft yahei" Office caused by 2016 for Mac installed fonts, such as Audition running slow?

 

I guess the Audition it seems that no matter what we do in response after testing the font again, System Restore initial state font I just discovered Caton delay was much better, but still happens more slowly.

 

What should I do? My English is not very good, you can see it, so I need a Chinese version of Audition, thanks to Adobe, thank you

R6025 - Pure Virtual Function Call

After several months of problem-free AA3, I now keep getting the same message: "Runtime error R6025 - pure virtual function call" whenever I press the Edit tab.

Does anyone know how I can resolve this problem? Will Uninstall and Re-Installing it work? I run Vista. I'm not really technically minded and it couldn't have come at a worst time as I'm trying to put together my entry for the Hospital Broadcasting Association awards with my limited AA3 knowledge.

Any help, preferably using words I can understand, would be appreciated.

How to Record Audio Using a Logitech G930

From what I understand the way Audition handles audio recording is that the sample rate has to be same.However sincethelogitechG930 microphone is locked at Tape Recorder Quality it is impossible to drop the speakers to that level because then you can't hear anything.

My question is that, is it possible to either (A) Record using different Sample Rates or (B) do you guys have a wayforaudition to work with this headset, whether that bepluginor anything.

 

The headset isfantastic butthis one limitation is really bugging me. Anyone know a fix?

How to activate Audition CS6 spot healing brush and other greyed out tools ?

I opened an external .wav file in Audition CS6 to apply the spot healing brush to mitigate some hissing, but only the "I" tool is active, all other tools are greyed out.

Please advise how to activate the tools...

Help will be appreciated

Setting the Sample Rate in Windows Vista and 7

This is an extract from a thread about setting up sound devices - specifically it relates to Vista, but in general it applies to all current Windows OS's.

 

Its originator is Adobe's _durin_

 

 

You'll need to make sure that the sample rate for your input and output channels of your device match.

 

1. Right-click on the speaker icon in the lower-right corner of your desktop and choose Recording Devices

2. Right-click the Microphone (or desired input channel for the device) and choose Properties

3. Click the Advanced tab and verify or change the Default Format option

4. Click OK then click the Playback tab.  Right-click on your default or desired output channel and choose Properties

5. Make sure the Default Format option matches what you selected for your recording channel.  (You'll notice in this screenshot, my playback device is configured for 48,000Hz while my microphone was configured for 44,100Hz.  These need to match.)

6. In Audition, create a new session.  For best results, ensure your session sample rate matches the sample rates you selected for your decices.  Audition will attempt to convert the sample rate of your recording on-the-fly to match the session sample rate, but it's always recommended to work at a single, consistent sample rate to ensure no change to the audio signal takes place.

 

Bob Howes added the following information to Durin's setup procedure that is Vista-specific:

 

 

The only thing to add is that you may have to do this again for future sessions--one of the pains of Vista is that it allows other software to grab the sound settings and adjust them--so if, for example, you've just watched a Youtube video with 48kHz audio, but want to record at 44.1, Windows may have left the settings at the last ones used.

Can I get context sensitive offline help for Adobe audition?

I've linked the CS6 Help PDF successfully to F1, but that's very clunky when you're trying to figure out an effect and the link that says "Shows help for this effect" is broken.  I recall CS5 and 5.5 had context sensitive help.  I know for sure Audition 3.0 does.  I'm a US contractor that's forward deployed and an Internet connection is not something we can take for granted.

Is it possible to have the mouse scroll horizontally by default at all times and only perform other actions (such as zooming and vertical scrolling) under special conditions (like a modifier key, or hovering over a section of the interface)?

Weird Digital Artifacts show up in recording, random

Greetings,

 

I am running Audition CC 2015 using a Firestudio project as my interface. One time, about 6 months ago I did a recording and one of the recordings had these very strange robotic-noise artifacts that took over the recording. It only happened once, so I just guessed it might be a weird glitch. But since upgrading to 2015, it keeps happening, and it seems random. Sometimes when I try to record, everything will be covered with them, no matter what channel I'm using or any effects in the chain. Sometimes it will actually start right in the middle of a recording. It is definitely being recorded with the artifacts, I can go back and pinpoint the moment they start and I can hear them when I listen to the waves outside of Audition. I'm not sure how to tell if this is a problem with Audition or the interface (or both) since it isn't always consistent. But it does make it very hard to record when at any time a recording could become useless. This isn't a minor thing that requires trained ears to notice, it takes over the track and makes it sound like everything was recorded inside a metal barrel filled with springs.

 

Has anyone seen anything like this or have any ideas about how I could find what the culprit is?

 

The effect is actually kind of cool, if I was doing it on purpose, but for emotional acoustic guitar tracks it is really intolerable, and not knowing how to stop it makes my process pretty difficult.

Au CC 2015 crash on launch every time - Mac

The problem is with the Package Contents folder called "Amio."  If I remove it, Au launches without crashing, and with an error message below, but won't import any files.

Error when saving audio file

I am having an issue when trying to save an audio file.  Looking for some help on what might be causing the problem.  With the audio file highlighted, I select Save As and title the file.  When I hit OK, this error comes up..The file is in use by another application and cannot be overwritten.  I am saving the file name as something new so it is not trying to overwrite a file with the same name.  Also there is not another Audition opened in the background or any other programs that could cause "another application" error.  Thanks for your help.

anyone have experience manually editing.sesx files?

I assume - perhaps incorrectly? - that .sesx is a flavor of .xml file.

 

I want to merge two sets of automation lanes as well as panning from two different sessions.

In session A, tracks 1-4 have panning, keyframes, and automation lanes of several effects. Tracks 5-8 have no panning or effects.

In session B, tracks 1-4 have no panning or effects but tracks 5-8 do.

 

After opening the respective .sesx files in notepad it _looks_ like it's possible (tracks and .wavs have identical names) - and also time consuming,

 

Before I spend a day of my life trying this, I wonder if anyone has done this successfully in notepad or TextEdit (hey, we're dual platform here) or a more appropriate xml editor?

 

.sesx2sesx only seems to append, not merge, and was a nightmare for me to actually download and install. The automation in question starts from 0:00.

 

I know there was a similar thread about copy/paste of automation lanes but it was filled with bile.

How do I lower pitch in Audition CS6?

Hi,

 

I'm a complete newbie to Audition in general. CS6 is my first look at it. I'm trying to lower the pitch of a clip (like making a voice deeper). However the only thing I can find is the "Automcatic Pitch Correction" effect and the "Raise Pitch"/"Lower Pitch" in the favourites menu. When applying the "Raise Pitch"/"Lower Pitch" from favourites it says "Applying Stretch and Pitch..." in the dialog box. I can't find these options anywhere. I am certain I am missing something, I just don't know what, and google hasn't been much help.

 

Any help much appreciated!

How to eliminate MT end blank space?

I must be missing something easy or obvious, but have searched the forum and been unable to solve this. I have an Audition 6 (Mac) multitrack session. The music ends at 6:50, but the multitrack window is 7:29. I have not been able to shorten the multitrack timeline to 6:50. Could someone please tell me how to delete the blank space at the end?

Does Audition MIDI actually work for anyone?

Hi -

 

This is a serious post and not an ad-hoc gripe.

 

I have just started to use Audition MID and it simply does not work! I have today read many of the posts of this forum and can identify other similar problems - for example - MIDI note off messages not being recorded re-transmitted to synths.

 

I would suggest that those with continuing problems post here in summary to give a community 'feel' for Audition with regard to MIDI for the benefit of users and developers alike.

 


As a former Sun Microsystems Test-lead engineer, here is imy appraisal of Adobe Audition MIDI capabilities:

 

1. It simply does not work. It appears that the Audition Design/Development team designed from a too simplistic stand point. It appears that the functionality was not thought through; and it most certainly looks like the MIDI features were NOT adequately tested in real-world scenarios; especially regarding connectivity with MIDI hardware.

 

2. The documentation is too sparse and does not sufficiently explain the features and their usage.

 

 

Audition as an audio editor is simply Awesome - there's almost nothing else like it IMO; but the MIDI design and testing team(s) have let this application down dreadfully. Senior designer /managers in Adobe - if you read this - you need to talk to your Adobe MIDI Developer and Test Leads and let them know they are destroying the reputation of Adobe and Audition.

 

Again I ask - does Audition MIDI Tracks work; and are people successfully integrating standard plugins into MIDI in Adobe multitrack sessions with acceptable realtime usage? I suggest we compile our expericen here to give a clear picture to Adobe - they clearly have not tested this functionality.

 

My experiences have been:

 

- It takes forever to initiate MIDI tracks

- Scaning for VSTi's crashes Audition - every time

- MIDI note-off messages regurlarly not sent to external hardware synths

- Minimal documentation on how to record from and play back external hardware synthesizers; on monitoring them when playing and on recording multiple MIDI tracks at once or on setting up connectivity to severla external hardware synths (among many other documentation short comings).

 

These are all issues that were sorted even by the likes of Atari 20 years ago. All of this functionaloty should completely work - it is bread and butter functionality.
