Deleting unused/unneeded recorded wav files from disc.

What's the easiest way to delete extraneous wav files when using Audition to record?  I don't just mean deleting them from the project, I mean actually deleting the wav files themselves.  After a recording session with Audition, I end up with a lot of extra wav files from bad or aborted takes.  I can "close" (delete) these files from the "files" list, but the wav file is still on the hard drive.  How do I delete these files from within Audition?

On a similar note, is there any way to tell Audition to delete everything that isn't used in the current multitrack mix?  I'd like to keep the files from all the clips in the current view, and delete everything else off the drive.  This would allow me to have a multitrack view with multiple takes on multiple tracks, and only save the audio that I want to the drive.  All the bad takes and other unneeded wav files would be deleted.

I feel like there may be something that I'm missing here.  It would be really helpful if after an aborted take I could delete the unwanted clips and have Audition delete the associated wav files as well, essentially putting me back to where I was before I started recording that last take.  This way I wouldn't keep building files on my drive that needed to be manually deleted.  At the moment, I delete the clips from bad takes after I stop recording, but the wav files are still saved.  I read that there used to be an option to delete the wav files when deleting the clip -- is something like this still available?

Thanks,

L
