You could say this is a feature request, but since this used to be part of the program, I consider it more of a bug.
Back before the program was rewritten to 64 bit, Audition has a stereo imagery effect called Stereo Field Rotate which allowed you to pan the stereo image to a certain degrees around the Left/Center/Right channels. This was and is different from the Center Channel option in the Stereo Expander effect.
If you look at the Features replaced, not implemented | Audition CS5.5 page (Features replaced, not implemented | Audition CS5.5), you'll see a bunch of stuff which has been subsequently ported over to the newer version of Audition. Yet Stereo Field Rotate, one of the simpler effects, is still missing.
It's really frustrating that I have to have two versions of Audition on my computer since that feature is one I absolutely need during my music editing. It would be really nice to be able to finally ditch that legacy version.
It's been a few years now since the transition. I'd like to hear from one of the Adobe Devs why this is still MIA from the new releases of Audition, or who I need to contact in order to make it happen.
