Mute silences in a audio

Hello,

I tried to figure out how to mute all silence parts in an audio but didn't find an easy way to do it with Audition.. It's difficult to choose every silent part of the track and apply mute effect on it.. So anybody knows how to achieve that easily?

I tried to do it with Diagnostics feature but it only delete silence and doesn't mute it...

This feature is very important for audio books, to eliminate breaths and room ambient from audio..
