I'm experiencing a nearly 10 second delay in response from the mixer panel to audio being played back. In other words, I'm playing back a multitrack recording, and trying to mix. I move a fader all the way down or up (just to see when the volume change occurs. On the screen the virtual fader control moves immediately. But the audio level for that track doesn't change for nearly 10 seconds ( ! ). I'm running Audition CC 2015 on a high end laptop (Windows 8.1 Pro, Intel Core i7, 16 GB RAM, all SSD drives). Sound card is built in Realtek. I've tried MME and WASAPI audio hardware settings, as well as ASIO4All to emulate ASIO for that sound card. The issue remains.
Any thoughts on what's going on or how to resolve? I've rebooted (no change). And I swear this worked fine just a few days ago, both with the mouse moving the faders as well as through my Zoom R24 connected USB as a control surface. I'm baffled.
