I am running a Yosemite late 2013 iMac, 3,5 ghz Intel Core i7, 32 GB 1600 Mhz DDR3 Ram, GTX 780M graphics with 4096 mb of memory, built in sound card and an SSD drive with over 300 gb of free space.
Not much installed on this system apart Adobe CC, a web browser and a FTP client (which don't run at the same time as CC).
Adobe Audition CC 2015 is so unstable it's a real pain working on it.
My typical project involves about 3 tracks with 2 wave files and an mp3. After importing these together, doing a rough cut, adding some EQ and compression (native Audition CC plugins, most external plugins don't seem to work anyway), Audition becomes so unstable that if I decide to adjust a cut, when I move the playhead to the desired position Audition crashes. Next time I open the project, it's enough to move the playhead again (manually with the mouse) and crash, again. It doesn't matter where I move the cursor - it crashes everywhere. If I hit play it does play my session, but it doesn't allow me to do any further work.
What could cause Audition to crash so much working on such a simple project with so many resources available?
