This is probably pretty basic stuff compared to your normal questions. We're shorthanded where I work and no one has more audio knowledge than anyone else, so I've fallen into an interim audio job using Audition for the first time.
I can get my studio equipment to record -- there's clearly a waveform -- but I can't playback sound to see what I've recorded. I must be missing something incredibly basic, but what?
Everything rolls along, but Audition doesn't output sound. Every other program on my computer does just fine playing audio.
I can edit the audio, adjust levels, and everything. Just wish I could hear what I'm cutting.
I'm using Adobe Audition CS6, my Mac is OS X Yosemite, and my mixer is an Allen & Heath xB 14-2.
