Hello!
I'm new to Adobe Audition and the forums. I've received some wonderful assistance so far, so I was hoping this amazingly patient community of experts would be willing to give me some pointers for improving my audio files. I'm starting a new podcast (PNRRadio.com) and I've interviewed a few people via Skype. The general Skype-to-Skype audio calls are pretty decent and I don't have any complaints. I use MP3 Skype Recorder (for now), which splits my audio onto one channel and the caller(s) onto another channel. This gives me the opportunity to also use Adobe Audition to record my side of the conversation at studio quality and I put them together for the final interview.
I have two problems:
- MP3 Skype Recorder Going Away - I'm getting a message on Skype that 3rd party programs will no longer be supported, so it seems I might be losing MP3 Skype Recorder as an option. I believe I tried to use the plugin for Skype FROM Skype, but it records the audio together, NOT splitting it into the two channels. Does anyone know a suitable alternative if I lose MP3 Skype Recorder?
- Cell-to-Skype Not So Good - There are some instances where the person I'm interviewing doesn't have a Skype account and has to call me from their cell phone or a LAN. GAWD what a horrible sound! Muffled and harsh at the same time. I haven't a clue about how to improve the quality of the audio.

I have NO CLUE as to what I'm doing. I went into these effects and played around. Any suggestions?
