I have just started using Adobe Audition so please forgive my ignorance as this is my first attempt at using any sort of audio software.
After watching a number of videos, I am still confused of how to completely work non-destructively within the program. I understand that the Waveform Editor works destructively contrary to the Multitrack Editor which works non-destructively, however I am a bit apprehensive of how to go about working within Audition to ensure that my original files are not altered in any way. Is the answer simply not to use the waveform editor at all? Or is there a way to create a "stored copy" within the program so that it leaves my original files alone?
If anyone could please offer some advice on how to accomplish a non-destructive workflow, I would really appreciate it.
Thank you in advance.
