Editing a podcast

I'm quite new to Audition and still working on getting some basics nailed down.

I have a interview podcast show that I record into two separate channels using Skype or a hand held recorder. That has made for easy editing in Audacity. As I can time link the two tracks and so when I edit portions of one track, an equal amount is subtracted from the linked track. That makes it easy to edit out the stutters, uummmmhhhhs, coughs, etc.

I've not figured out how to do this in Audition. It seems I can create a multitrack session, but then only edit one waveform at a time.

Am I missing something here, or is it just that the Audition workflow is completely different. And if it is completely different. How can I accomplish what I've described above?

Thanks, Michael
