MIDI trigger control in Audition 2.0

For Audition 2.0

I am trying to set a trigger from a midi device. I can see the box to enter a value but I cannot enter text into the box. I also assume that I should be able to hit a key on my (virtual) midi device and for it to be shown in this box. Neither work.

Any suggestions?
