Hi - I've just come to this and have had a look around so will try not to repeat things.
I'm running/trailing CC Audition on a iMac 27' retina 5k with 32 GB RAM, 4GHz i7 and AMD Radeon 4GB video with flash drives (512GB) and there's a few issues.
1. In full screen Audition is like working in treacle. It appears to work but moves relatively slowly and is nothing like the speed/fluidity of Audition 3 on a bootcamped 4.1 Mac Pro running XP. Rescaling the screen to smaller helps, as does changing the whole screen resolution down. I'd have hoped with this processing that it could handle it. I think it's a screen/graphics issue. Any words/help??
2. After a couple of basic edits in the multitrack, I am getting a click/lag on playback start which is only fixed by a restart of audition. This is whether I'm on my apogee or running internally with no external interface.
3. When trying to split a clip in a multitrack session simply using my 'split' shortcut during playback doesn't work any more... found a work around by using the razor - cool, but now it drops the audio out when I do that cut for a split second, the same when I group or ungroup clips. This isn't the dream as I am used to working really fast and editing/arranging on the fly during playback.
4. Using the autoplay feature on the file preview window drops out the playback if it's running from the main session - in audition 3 it used to play over it.
5. Trying to 'link band width' controls in the multiband results in it all jumping to the same threshold on whatever band you click on (so it basically looses the threshold shape) if you want to just pull it back a bit.
Gutted at this point to have invested so much money in a system that is way below the par of my old boot camped mac. Are these issues as I'm a newbie to CC, or about the retina 5K?? - I have a few days left and am seriously thinking about having to send it back to get a 'normal' 27' iMac.
This is totally the backbone of my business/critical to what I do - any help/steering/advice would be MASSIVELY appreciated.
Many thanks
