I've tried everything I can think of, at least twice, and just can't seem to record anything into Audition CS6. I recently upgraded from Audition 3 which I've used for years, and have always been able to record using the line-in jack, and in fact can still record with it having left Audition 3 on my computer after upgrading. I've been back and forth between the hardware settings in both versions of Audition and my Windows Control Panel audio settings at least a dozen times, and nothing seems to work.
When I try to record I can hear the audio via the speakers, but the Waveform view is flatlined, not picking up any sound at all. I’m pretty familiar with digital audio setup, but this issue has me stymied, especially because I can record into Audition 3 but not CS6? I suppose I can continue to do all my recording in version 3 if necessary, but there must be some way I can record into CS6, especially since it’ll now be my main editing platform.
FYI, my Audio Hardware preferences are set for MME, Default Input is digital audio using my SoundBlaster card (the only option available), Default Output is speakers, same soundcard, Master Clock Out: Speakers, Latency 200, Sample Rate 44100.
If anyone has any ideas how I can get this to record, I’d really appreciate it!
