We are running Audition CS6 on newer Windows 8.1 computers, using the internal sounds cards to eliminate any USB or driver issues as culprits. Here is a breakdown of our problems:
- When opening a file from an external program, Audition will not play back the file. Previously, when opening the file, it would start playback immediately.
- After launching a new instance of Audition, the program will not record after hitting the record button. It will open a new file like it did before but will not begin the recording process
- ***We have a work around in which you deselect and select the sound cards and restart Audition. Works but not to the best of it's ability.
- When switching users, the default sound devices will change.
Each of these problems happen sporadically with no real pattern. We did not experience these issues at all on Windows 7.
