Does Audition compare to other DAWs like Pro-Tools? AND.....

Does Audition compare to other DAWs like Pro-Tools? AND..... Does Audition support the use of 3rd party VST/AU instrument plug-ins such as Native Instruments Komplete VSTs?

This is a deciding factor for my purchase of this program.
