Hi,
Thanks in advance for your help. I took an online course in Audition, but there are a few specific things that were not covered (and that I can't figure out on my own). This is one of them.
(You may need to scroll all the way down to see everything).
For the purposes of troubleshooting, I have a track soloed.
When I set the 5.1 pan settings like this, I hear sound out of the rear speakers (as I should):
When I set my speakers as shown in either of the below pictures, I hear NO sound out of either of the rear speakers (front speakers work fine). Notice, the ONLY thing that has changed between Pictures 1 and 2 is the ANGLE. All I did in Picture 3 is set the radius to 0%.
Why is this? I'm thinking I don't get the concept of how this works. I thought the white lines basically signified relative volume levels from each speaker.
Moreover, in the above-right scenario (the one with 0% radius), I can hear sound out of the LEFT, RIGHT, and CENTER speakers, but when I click the L and R buttons to mute the left and right speakers (shown below) I now hear nothing out of ANY speakers, including the Center speaker, which worked fine a second ago. Also, do I understand correctly that when the radius is at 0%, the 'Angle' and 'Stereo Spread' knobs do nothing?
